Highlights from Ellie & Liam’s summer wedding at this popular Lancashire wedding venue

Bartle Hall Wedding Venue

Bartle Hall is a stunning choice for your Lancashire wedding. I have photographed quite a few weddings at this award-winning Lancashire wedding venue, as a Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer, and describes itself as…

“Bartle Hall Country House & Coaching Barn is a unique wedding venue, set in 16 acres of wild and wonderful woodland. Combining a classic country house with the rural charm of the coaching barn, Bartle Hall truly offers you the best of both worlds.

A venue for every season offering a mix of historic beams, feature fireplaces, mood lighting, beautiful wood floors, neutral and contemporary decor. Relaxed lounges with log fires, huge four metre long Chesterfield and stunning contemporary bar make a cosy and intimate setting all year round. Our patio and BBQ area is lit by festoon lighting and lanterns and is perfect for summer evenings.

Private gardens, a graceful pagoda and feature staircase can provide the perfect backdrop for those important wedding photographs”.

Bridal Preparations for a Lancashire Wedding

Ellie and the girls were getting ready at Ellie’s home in Poulton-Le-Fylde. I was with them in the morning for a couple of hours, photographing the excitement and general(fun) chaos the bridal prep mornings bring. On time, Ellie was dressed and ready to go, after a few unstaged photos of her putting her wedding dress on, plus a couple of portraits of this gorgeous bride-to-be. On cue, I left to catch up with the groomsmen at the church.

Black Tie Wedding at Bartle Hall

Ellie & Liam had planned a black tie style for their wedding at Bartle Hall. I do love a good black tie wedding - I think it really adds a touch of class to the event. The groomsmen looked really smart as a collective group. We had time for a few portraits plus I photographed them walking into church - all part of my being a Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer. The couple had booked me to be their Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer about a year before their big day.

St Chad’s Church Poulton

Ellie & Liam’s summer wedding was promising to be a brilliant day, split with the ceremony at St Chad’s Church in Poulton, whilst the reception and party was going to be at Bartle Hall. St Chad’s church was a great choice for my clients’ wedding ceremony. The church is literally in Market Place, the main square in Poulton-Le-Fylde. The day was bustling, full of shoppers and people going about their business. The wedding guests gathered, greeting each other with hugs and smiles, all eagerly awaiting Ellie and there bridesmaids to appear. As Ellie and the bridesmaids arrived, the shoppers stopped to watch the bridal party gathering, ready to go into church. It became quite a sight with all gathered (remember the wedding guests were already inside the church).

Bartle Hall Wedding in Summer

Bartle Hall is a stunning wedding venue, full of character and style. The sixteen acres of land offer much scope for natural wedding photography (but don’t try and walk it all!) As Ellie & Liam’s Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer, I had planned a simple twenty minute photo session with my clients - that’s all we needed for some natural couple photos. As their experienced Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer, I was fully conversant with the venue, and knew where I wanted to photograph the couple photos later in the day. We were going off grid! For the wedding guests, the weather was glorious, and the patio full of happy, smiling faces, all enjoying the celebrations. As a Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer, I got to ‘duck and dive’ capturing some great reactions from some great characters! As we were called too breakfast, I photographed some great, emotion, funny speeches, plus some ‘in yer face’ partying as Ellie & Liam’s Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer.

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
