Mitton Hall Wedding Photography - Debbie & Paul

Highlights from Debbie & Paul’s Autumn Wedding at Mitton Hall

Autumn Wedding at Mitton Hall

Debbie booked me for Hers and Paul’s Autumn wedding at Mitton Hall nearly two years ago. But, the date had to be changed several times due to Covid and family commitments. But….we made it!! Eventually we were all gathered at Mitton Hall for this fantastic Autumn wedding. I arrived nice and early (as I always do) to have a look round, see how the light is and what the weather was promising for the day. All was looking spot on for this Autumn wedding at Mitton Hall.

Mitton Hall Wedding Video

I was working alongside the guys from Brighthand Productions for Debbie & Paul’s Mitton Hall wedding video. I’ve worked with them on a few weddings now, and they are brilliant! Top quality videos of your big day, but work as a team with your photographer, so it doesn’t feel like work. Well….almost. We were working together for the full day, so we got to work nice and early photographing Debbie’s preparations and detail images of her dress, shoes etc. As the lads arrived, they got ready behind reception in a small room safely tucked away from the wedding guests arriving through the main door. Moving between both rooms, we captured both sets of preparations swiftly and unobtrusively, and took the groomsmen outside for a few formal photos. I say formal…but nice and relaxed fun photos really.

Alex Birtwell Wedding Entertainment

Alex Birtwell was on site too, for the full day, as MC and musical entertainment. Again, I’ve worked with Alex a few times and he is brilliant at what he does. Alex sang for most of the day, then ‘introduced’ the wedding guests to a quiz and various dance-offs just before and after the wedding speeches. Total chaos!! But brilliant fun to photograph formally shy and quiet guests now dancing on chairs and waving their arms around like they were at a Pink Concert! Awesome fun. I got ‘battered’ by napkins a few times braving the throng!! Nice one Alex, you did well pal!

Sam Fitton Wedding Magician

And…again, I found myself working with the brilliant Sam Mitton. Possibly the best close up magician I have ever seen or worked with. Sam was on duty for most of the day, wowing guests with his close up magic….and his ‘magic shoe telephone’! I was standing next to him for a lot of the magic tricks, with a camera too…but, nah…never saw how it was done. Just before the speeches, Sam joined Alex for a rendition of Tenacious D song ‘Tribute’. Awesome! Then the Groomsmen and Bridal Party had a sing-off. The girls won hands down. Sam stayed up till First Dance, with his (now trademark) trick being performed to Debbie & Paul outside the Hall, before the music started. Debbie’s expression was priceless!

Mitton Hall wedding photography

I really enjoyed my day producing Mitton Hall wedding photography at this stunning venue. I used prime lenses all day for that natural style of documentary wedding photography. The majority of the day was shot using a 35mm lens, for that natural journalistic angle. I am really looking forward to my next Mitton Hall wedding photography commission.

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
