BROWSHOLME HALL WEDDING PHOTO

ABOUT ME

 Manchester Wedding Photographer Mick Cookson

Hello!

That’s me above, working away at Julie & Graeme’s wedding at Browsholme Hall recently.

(Oh, and possibly like you, I’m a little camera-shy too)

I am a Manchester Wedding Photographer. Though based in Manchester, I also have a base in Morecambe, so can easily cover the Lake District and beyond.

My business was established in 2008, and I have now photographed around 500 weddings. I am a full time photographer too, and shoot commercial and corporate work for business and websites during the week.

I come from a Film & TV background. I spent many years directing and producing TV Commercials and seemingly spent half of my life in editing suites in Manchester & London. This is where my style comes from I guess - a filmic, natural look - based on filming and photographing people over the years. My clients love my approach and the clean, natural feel to my work. Just like this website!

I have written articles for several leading photographic magazines, and proud to have been a judge on Professional Photographer Magazine’s ‘Photographer Of The Year’ competition.

My work is regularly featured on some of the leading wedding blogs and websites.

Experienced Manchester Wedding Photographer

I love photographing weddings in Manchester – there are some brilliant wedding venues in the city. Manchester City centre offers the photographer (and wedding couple) the options of some fantastic and funky locations for the wedding photography. I’m based in Prestwich, so working in Manchester is simple. As a Manchester Wedding Photographer, I also get to work with the famous John Consterdine – the only registered Manchester Taxi Tour Guide. You can see his work at Manchester Taxi Tours. John and I work together using his stunning eco-friendly electric cab for smaller weddings and elopements. It’s a totally unique service, and you can see more here.

Manchester is one of the best cities in the world, and famous for lots of things – it’s music, it’s two great football teams (well, one…) and it’s culture. The architectural landscape is constantly changing and evolving. A Manchester Wedding Photographer relishes these changes as new locations to photograph weddings in.

But…I’m not restricted to Manchester. No – I get to travel all over the North West photographing weddings in Cheshire, Lancashire and The Lake District too.

You will find recent weddings on my Blog, featuring such stunning venues as Manchester Town Hall, Eaves Hall, Mitton Hall, King Street Townhouse, Styal Lodge and , to name but a few. I have also worked as a Manchester Wedding Photographer on smaller, more intimate weddings (10-30 guests) at Duttons, The Fountain House and Gusto for example.

Have a look around my Gallery, or at my Recent Work to see how I work as a Manchester Wedding Photographer.

So…if my style matches yours, let’s have a no-obligation chat about your wedding plans.
