Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Wedding Venue

Farah & Adam booked me for their Arabic wedding at Crow Wood around six months before. How could I say no to being their Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer. This was going to be a very lively day indeed! I love working at Crow Wood as a Crow Wood Wedding Photographer. See Lynsey & Kevin’s recent wedding here.

Crow Wood Hotel describes itself as…

Arabic Wedding at Crow Wood

Farah & Adam had their Aarabic wedding ceremony, their katb Al-kitaab a few weeks previously to their Crow Wood Wedding, though sadly I was unavailable to photograph this. But fast forward to last Summer and here we were at Crow Wood for their wedding celebrations, with me as their Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer. I was warned it was going to be a lively event, with lots of (chaotic!) dancing, and it did not disappoint! But first, the calm. As I arrived an hour or so before the wedding guests, the atmosphere was building. Hug after hug after hug as the guests greeted each other. Farah was upstairs getting ready and I was waiting to be called upstairs to meet her (for the first time) and take a few photos. Until then, my job as a Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer was running like clockwork, photographing Adam’s portraits plus a few family group photos as they arrived. Slightly different from my usual working day, but I was in the groove as a Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer. The wedding ceremony was to be a simple meet and greet affair. Farah was to be walked into the main room, whilst Adam and the flower girls stood expectantly waiting for her. Then after an introduction speech….BOOM! The music started, the families started dancing and the party was on!

Stunning Bride at Crow Wood

But, before the ceremony I got to meet my client, Farah. Oh my days, she looked stunning! As I photographed here, I got talking about how awesome her day was, and was even more going to be…and…it turns out she is an architect in the making! Hence Crow Wood as the choice for her wedding reception. Farah fell in love with it’s design and architecture…so there! We had a few minutes for some Bride photos, before a very excited Adam came into the room to see his stunning bride for the first time that day. My silent shooting Nikons earned their stripes by not intruding into their intimate moment together. From the emotional first look came the families…one by one, wanting to meet and greet this stunning bride. I quietly carried on photographing the proceedings as their Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer, before I had go back downstairs for the ceremony.

Arabic Dancing at a Wedding

As Farah & her dad walked into and around the perimeter of the room, the silence was deafening, apart from the subtle gasps from the wedding guests. The DJ was standing by, as were the drummers…all waiting for their cue. Then, as I say - BOOM!! The party started…

Adam was first up drumming away calling the guests to join him for some crazy dancing….which seemed to go on gor hours. It actually did, apart from a short break for the meal, and a few family and couples photos around sunset. The…more dancing till very late. As a Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer, I threw myself into the midst of all the chaos, getting a little battered here and there, but it was worth it! The photos look great!

Recommended Wedding Photographer at Crow Wood

I really enjoyed my day producing documentary photography as a Crow Wood Arabic Wedding Photographer. I am one of the recommended photographers for the venue. And being recommended for this wedding - a full-on party for hours, very different to what I normally experience, was simply brilliant. Thanks Farah & Adam…oh, and my boss Tarina (Adam’s mum!) for organising such a brilliant wedding celebration at Crow Wood.

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
