Mitton Hall Wedding - Nicola & Daniel

Highlights from Nicola & Daniel’s wedding at this exclusive Ribble Valley wedding venue

Stunning Lancashire Wedding Venue

Mitton Hall is a stunning and exclusive Lancashire Wedding Venue, situated just outside Whalley in the Ribble Valley. I would safely say one of the top five in the North West. I love working there as a Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer, and have photographed several weddings there at different times of the year too….Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter. It’s also a very popular wedding venue for any couples looking for a Lancashire-based location for their wedding. I have photographed there several times, in all seasons, and just love the place. A firm favourite among the wedding photographers, being a Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer is a perfect commission.

Summer Weddings at Mitton Hall

Nicola & Dan booked me as their Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer for their June wedding. Their Mitton Hall Wedding was on very hot day too. I get ‘advised’ all the time by some wedding guests that the light is ‘great for you photographers in Summer’. Erm, not really. Bright sunshine is great for you lovely wedding guests, but at times a little harsh to photograph in, so we sometimes leave the couples portraits for later in the day when the light is kinder. As a Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer, I am fully experienced in working at the venue- in all wether conditions, not just hot days! A Mitton Hall wedding is one of my favourites to capture, and love having them in my Recent Weddings gallery like you see here.

Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer

I really love producing my wedding photography at Mitton Hall. The venue has so much character and offers the Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer lots of scope with its perfect blend of ‘old traditional’ meeting new contemporary. The front drive , the rear landscaped gardens and THAT stunning interior are brilliant places for your wedding photos. My natural authentic style means we can quickly produce a lovely collection of keepsake images in minutes. No fuss, no awkward posing - just natural happy wedding photos. Add my natural documentary work for those candid moments with you and your guests, and you have the perfect balance.

Perfect Ribble Valley wedding

Mitton Hall is situated in a perfect Ribble Valley location, and Nicola & Dan’s wedding was a a perfect Ribble Valley wedding. I really enjoyed my day being their Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer. The weather was perfect too, with all the guests enjoying the glorious sunshine - seemingly as long as they could before the wedding breakfast, as the party rolled on. The reception in the conservatory looked stunning. After the wedding breakfast, the speeches were brilliant to listen to as I made my way quietly and unobtrusively as a Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer, capturing the laughter, the happy tears and reactions of the wedding guests. With a few minutes to capture the classic chandelier photo, we were in full party mode with the brilliant DFC as the entertainment. With some dance floor action captured, I quietly left the revellers to it. My brilliant day as a Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer was done!

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…

A Perfect Mitton Hall Wedding

I arrived early in the morning to photograph Nicola and the girls’ preparations. A full on party met me as I entered the room. This was going to be a brilliant day! The prosecco was already out, the music was pumping and the hugs were fast and furious as family and friends popped into the room to say hello and wish Nicola good luck.

As the ceremony time was approaching, Nicola and her constantly laughing entourage switched rooms. Her dress was duly re-hung on a stunning four poster bed. Time for a few more shots of it before Nicola put it on then… ;-) The nerves were kicking in a little, but the laughter and fun was relentless. A handful of portraits later, I was off to meet Dan and his Groomsmen outside the Hall. With a nerve-steadying beer in one hand, Dan was busy greeting guests as they arrived. The sun was out, everything was on time  – a perfect Mitton Hall wedding was about to commence.

Nicola was perfectly on time, gigling with excitement, as her proud father escorted her towards the aisle. Dan and the guests were in position, nervous, excited and raring to go. The ceremony was full of emotion as the couple said their vows to each other - some great moments were captured on my Nikons. As the ceremony ended and we entered ‘party mode’, the guests wandered onto the rear terrace for drinks and canapés. After a few family group photos, and a few minutes of Bride & Groom portraits - all natural, all unposed and authentic, we managed to grab a few minutes inside whilst the guests were taking their seats. Why? We wanted the famous Mitton Hall Chandelier photo!

The weather was still glorious, and the light inside the conservatory was awesome. The wedding speeches were very funny, and very much heartfelt, with some great ‘crowd participation’. After a break, Ryan Smith took over as MC and DJ for the evening. Ryan is a brilliant guy to work with and knows how to get a crowd going, and a dance floor filled.

A perfect Mitton Hall Wedding!
