Beeston Manor - An Award-Winning Lancashire Wedding Venue

Beeston Manor is a family-owned and run Lancashire wedding venue situated near Hoghton Tower in Lancashire. The venue is set in 140 acres of land, and is a beautifully converted 16th Century barn complete with oak beams and sandstone walls. There are fourteen en-suite bedrooms available, a licence to hold civil ceremonies, a restaurant and two function rooms which have the backdrop view of stunning panoramic views. The venue is also close to the M6, M61 and M65 motorway networks and also has the facility of a helicopter pad. Recently, a new extension has been added, offering more accommodation, plus a private, designed Bridal Room for preparations.

Beeston Manor Wedding Photographer

Shawna & Alex asked me to be their Beeston Manor Wedding Photographer via Michael at King Of Aces Magic, who was planning their big day. Michael was also the MC for the day, adding a class touch of hosting the day after the ceremony, right through to the evening celebrations. And he was doing his magic all day too….a very busy man indeed! As Shawna & Alex’s Beeston Manor Wedding Photographer, my role was to capture their day with little intrusion, to allow the celebrations to roll out as the day went on. No problem!

King Of Aces Magic

As I mentioned, I was working alongside the Uber-talented Michael from King Of Aces Magic. Working as wedding host and entertainer all day, Michael astounded us all (me on several occasions, and I’ve seen him work a few times!) You need to see his act when he gets random people to punch random numbers into a claculator until finally you get a massive, eleven plus digit number…which is the date of the wedding, plus the live time as a digital readout on everyones calculator app. Unbelievable.

Wedding Videos at Beeston Manor

On camera duties with me for the day was friend and colleague Brendon from Bright Hand Productions. I work with these guys (normally Rick is with is too) on several weddings each year, and they are simply great to work with. Their wedding videos are great too. Why not check them out? Wedding Ceremony at Beeston Manor

I was early for my day at Beeston Manor - (I always am, for any wedding). The wedding ceremony at Beeston Manor was booked for 1pm in the stunning Ceremony Room. I caught with Shawna getting ready in the corner of The Woodland room, where the light was gorgeous, and I managed to grab a lovely shot of her from outside with the blue sky reflected. I was getting some great shots as a Beeston Manor Wedding Photographer already, and I was still early.

The wedding ceremony was awesome - full of laughs and emotion, plus that shot of daughter and flower girl Miya running down the aisle to hug dad had everyone welling up.

The weather wasn’t on our side, with heavy rain showers, but we still nailed it!

Pat Mulligan Wedding Host

A surprise to me on the day was the arrival of the legend that is Pat Mulligan. Simply one of the best DJ’s and wedding hosts around . Nobody can fault Pat for his professionalism and enthusiasm for what he does. Nobody - he is simply awesome! He had the floor rocking from Shawna & Alex’s First Dance, and Shawna’s Father Daughter Dance till very late…
