Browsholme Hall Wedding - Julie & Graeme

Highlights from Julie & Graeme’s summer wedding at this unique Lancashire wedding barn

Exclusive Barn Wedding Venue

Browsholme Hall (pronounced Broo-sum)is a stunning exclusive Lancashire Wedding Venue, situated deep into the Ribble Valley. It’s also a very popular wedding venue for couples looking for an exclusive barn wedding venue. I have photographed there a few times, and love the unique qualities of the venue. The main Tithe Barn used for weddings is annexed to the main Browsholme Hall itself. The barn is self-contained with a bridal dressing room at the rear, a lounge bar area, plus a lovely open patio at the rear. Next door is a cottage for overnight stays or for the second partner or wedding party to get ready.

Browsholme Hall Wedding Photos

Us wedding photographers love working at the venue to produce our Browsholme Hall Wedding Photos. The gardens and Italian Steps next to the actual Hall are gorgeous to work in, especially in late afternoon sunlight. Just a short golf buggy ride away is the lake with it’s own rowing boat for those special couple photos. Three minutes’ walk from the actual Barn is an outdoor area with a pond, designed for those special outdoor ceremonies - perfect! There is so much scope in such a very accessible area, and the location is simply stunning for the happy couple’s Browsholme Hall Wedding Photos.

Browsholme Hall Wedding Ceremony

Julie and Graeme booked me for my Most Day Package - from ceremony to end of speeches. But, it was such a glorious day at Browsholme Hall, I turned up early to grab a few getting ready photos for the couple. And, it gave me time for a brew before the guests started to arrive! This wedding was one where I literally meet my clients on the day - in this case, a half-dressed Graeme in the cottage, together with his Best Man, as they put their suits on. The ceremony was just under an hour away, so I popped in to say hello to Julie and grab a few shots of her all dressed and ready to go.

As the guests started to arrive, Graeme was ‘front of house’ with his groomsmen - greeting everybody and having fun with the guests, and, seemingly kissing a thousand cheeks and hugging everyone who moved.

As the guests took their seats in the stunningly designed Barn, all beautifully created by the team at The Flower Shack By Sarah, Graeme stood nervously waiting for Julie. He didn’t have to wait long as Julie was very excited to walk down the aisle with her proud dad and already on her way. The ceremony was clockwork - even the wedding rings fitted with no forcing from either partner (rare that!). We were escorted outside to the patio area for drinks and canapés. Only the one group photo of everyone was required, then the newlyweds and myself made our way to the lake and gardens for photos. About 20 mins worth and we nailed it. We were perfectly on time, so I could carry on photographing the celebrations in my documentary style, without any intrusion. On duty also was the brilliant magician Darren Robinson - who I’ve worked with a few times, and I can never work out how its done….even close up with the Nikons!

Then it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The room had been reset as on long table - something I’ve never seen at Browsholme before, but it worked beautifully. As the speeches finished, I quietly left the wedding party to run on into the evening…

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
