Iconic Liverpool Hotel

30 James Street Hotel is an iconic hotel, in an iconic building in Liverpool. Once the Albion Building - the main office for the White Star Shipping Company, and main office for the RMS Titanic, the hotel is now one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the heart of the city. From their website, 30 James Street Hotel describes itself as…

“Situated in the heart of the city centre opposite the famous Albert Dock and Three Graces, 30 James Street is a cut above the rest. Offering luxury accommodation within a stunning and historic building, you’ll be transported back in time as you immerse yourself in the opulence of our country’s most glamorous era, enjoying surroundings that impressively recreate the experience of first-class passengers aboard the world’s premier cruise line”.

This gallery is a small compilation of some of my favourites from my 30 James Street wedding photography archive.

Authentic 30 James Street wedding photography

I have photographed a few weddings at 30 James Street -known locally as the ‘Streaky Bacon Building’, producing my authentic 30 James Street wedding photography for many happy clients. The venue is simply stunning, full of hints and memorabilia from its history as the White Star office, where the RMS Titanic was registered. The main White Star Grand Hall where the wedding ceremony and reception takes place is a gorgeous space, and perfect for 30 James Street wedding photography, be it during the ceremony or using it for gorgeous backdrops for group and couples portraits afterwards. The Carpathian Bar on the 6th floor is a stunning open space with a roof terrace, again a fantastic location for those intimate couple photos or getting out on the terrace for those low light cityscape photos - all possible creative ideas with your 30 James Street wedding photography.

The Famous Royal Liver Building

30 James Street Hotel is across the road from The Royal Liver Building, so as part of my 30 James Street wedding photography I try to include this VERY iconic building in your wedding photos. We can take a short stroll from 30 James Street and take some natural, stylish wedding photos towards Pier Head, looking around the Royal Liver Building and back. The photos I take are different every time, I’m not a fan of duplicating shots because ‘they just work’ with my 30 James Street wedding photography. No, it’s always different (and bespoke to my clients) on every visit.

Home of The Beatles

Liverpool is also famous for its four sons, aka The Beatles. There’s a brilliant statue across the road from 30 James Street - perfect for a few fun 30 James Street wedding photography photos! In this gallery, Kelly wanted a shot with The Fab Four….so who am I to argue!

Here are some of my favourite wedding photos from Rivington Hall Barn…

Documentary wedding photography in Liverpool

I do love working in Liverpool. My favourite area to work is natural wedding photography in a city centre environment. My documentary wedding photography in Liverpool takes a very natural approach, as it has done at Malmaison, The Shankly Hotel and The Palm House, for example. With some fantastic streets and micro-locations a few minutes walk away, I can certainly add a few great natural portraits of you both, with some documentary wedding images too as part of your 30 James Street wedding photography.
